Pensiangan “ Land of Holy Legend”

For Entomologist, Scientists and Insects lover, “Pensiangan” is a fabulous place to observe and study rare and endangered insects. With the height of 800meter above sea level at camping site A and camping site B at 1200meter above sea level , you will be able to spot many of the insects at the “insect flying points”.

1)Beetles represent the largest order of insects, containing over 250,000 described species. These beetle eats leaves and barks.

2) Lepidoptera – butterflies and moths
Butterflies are active during the daytime and moths during the night time.

3) Walking sticks
Sticks insects are master of disguise. Blending in perfectly, these plant eating insects look and move like the foliage they inhabit.

4) Cicada( IMG 0492)
Have two long sets of wings with the fore wing longer than the hindwing pair. The male species sing a loud song.
